who is responsible

what we store, and why

when you contribute to the hub we store your name (to credit you publicly), your email (to establish your contributor identity and for editorial questions — it is never shown publicly), the content you submit (text, tags, and files), and a salted hash of your ip address used only for rate limiting — the address itself is not kept.

if you create an account we store the email you sign in with; if you join the waitlist we store the email you gave. we keep contributions for as long as they are published and account data for as long as the account exists — everything is deleted on request.

cookies & local storage

we set exactly one cookie: eq-session, a signed cookie that keeps you logged in. it is strictly functional, contains no tracking, and is only set when you sign in — which is why you don't see a cookie banner here.

your preferences (theme, language, menu choice, saved garden) live in your own browser's local storage and never leave it. we use vercel analytics, which is cookie-free, stores no personal data, and does not track you across sites.

where it lives

contributions are stored with our hosting infrastructure (vercel, with upstash redis and vercel blob for files). they are visible to the site editors and — once published — to visitors, credited to the name you gave.

your rights

under the avg/gdpr you can ask us at any time to see, correct, receive a copy of, unpublish, or permanently delete anything we hold about you — including your contributions and personal details. write to hello@gronn.studio from the email you used and we'll take care of it.

if you feel we've handled your data poorly, you also have the right to complain to the dutch data protection authority, the autoriteit persoonsgegevens.

terms, in short

contribute only knowledge and files that are yours to share. by submitting you agree it's published under your name and may be edited into the archive and pattern library, credited to you. the knowledge stays open; you keep authorship. we may unpublish or remove content at our discretion.
